Mortgage Loan Processor

The processor is responsible for ensuring member satisfaction that meets or exceeds expectations through timely and accurate processing and closing of mortgage loans. The Mortgage department is a fast-paced busy setting and successful candidates should possess the ability to work independently, multi-task and work well under pressure and timelines. Qualifications include proven analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills, along with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of real estate transactions and mortgage lending compliance regulations along with proficiency with computers, attention to details and a proven record of maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Mortgage Investor Reporting Specialist

Description:

The primary duties of this position is to reconcile monthly mortgage investor & commercial participation remittances and to monitor cash flows to investors. The person in this role will be expected to perform more complex loan transactions within the mortgage servicing system including foreclosures, bankruptcy pre-petition and post-petition payments and short sales. The integrity of the Mortgage Loan Servicing database will be supported through ad hoc reporting and error resolution. The person in this role will also assist the supervisor in identification and resolution of servicing software issues. It will be helpful for the successful candidate to have knowledge of the mortgage and commercial loan servicing, FHLMC, VHFA and FHLB/MPF investor reporting guidelines as well as in depth knowledge of Phoenix, FHLMC Service Loans, and VHFA software applications. In depth loan accounting knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and report writing tools will be necessary to be successful in this position. This position also requires excellent analytical and decision making skills. This position is part of the Mortgage Loan Servicing Group. Create a welcoming and professional experience while finding a solution to their needs. Interact with members at the technology/informational areas within the branch to provide educational opportunities for NEFCU online and other remote channels. Provide professional, solutions based member service in a courteous, knowledgeable and accurate manner. Successful candidates for this position will provide friendly, fast and accurate service to members. The ability to explain our various products and services as well as the ability to recognize and suggest solutions to our members will be necessary. Maintain complete product and services knowledge. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in all areas of member service, demonstrate flexibility in different roles to meet the needs of the branch and be the branch expert for all remote communication. The Branch float should an attitude of helpfulness and enthusiasm as well as have effective communication and problem solving skills, and show personal initiative to acquire knowledge necessary for success.

Description:

Primary Goals and Objectives: Excellent, communication skills needed for this diverse call center position. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle a high volume of calls, responding with in the established response standard. Must be able to manage priorities and meet numerous deadlines, while maintaining and providing a high degree of customer service to our members. The successful candidate will build & strengthen member relationships, maintain knowledge of all NEFCU products & services and serve as an advocate for members over the telephone. They will be required to solve problems and investigate a wide variety of issues and requests that may include gathering additional information, and working with other support staff within the organization in order to fulfill the request. Must exhibit a high degree of accuracy, and have prior customer service experience.
