Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist

Position description: Ensure member satisfaction meets or exceeds expectations and reduce risk to the Credit Union through timely and accurately servicing of the loan portfolio. Conduct loan servicing of mortgage loans. System software upgrade testing with a purpose to identify and document performance issues and defects in the loan software application. Specific duties include: • Loan system setup and review for accuracy of key loan fields prior to the first payment. • Handle credit bureau disputes and credit bureau file review for monthly reporting. • Administer escrow process including private mortgage insurance, hazard insurance, flood insurance and property taxes. • Track hazard insurance, flood insurance, and delinquent taxes. • Review all adjustable rate mortgage payment changes for accuracy. • Manage loan modifications, transactions, payoffs, research and maintenance via all channels. Facilitate trust certifications; partial releases; insurance damage claims. Execute all CRM Service Requests / Workflows and emails. • Review and process monthly CFPB required statements and Member statements Qualifications: • High School degree or equivalent. • Knowledge of multiple loan software systems / programs to include: PhoenixEFE, OnBase, Consumer Data Industry Association Credit Reporting Resource Guide (Metro 2), e-Oscar, MortgageBot. • Proficiency in using Office 365 (MS Word, Excel, etc.), and various websites • Ability to multi task and work under busy conditions at times. • Analytical, attention to detail, organization and time management skills required E.O.E

Position Description: Mortgage Loan Assistant will support the Mortgage Loan Originators by providing administrative service throughout the mortgage loan process. This position will be responsible for taking an answering all incoming calls for the team. Specific duties include: • Manages the mortgage loan application pipeline in conjunction with mortgage loan officers to achieve maximum efficiency and member/Realtor satisfaction. • Handles daily phone and e-mail volume in a timely manner providing borrowers with accurate information, schedules appointments, prepares borrower for information and documentation that will be required. • Tracks receipt of loan conditions to give Realtor status updates for appraisal contingency, financing contingency and closing date. • Provides exceptional customer service and effective communication to Realtors throughout purchase process. • Supports the Mortgage Loan Officers system updates, sets tolerances for LE and re-disclosing the Loan Estimate as required. • Participates in active dialogue and listening to understand member’s overall financial goals or objectives to present specific products and service solutions to meet their individual needs. Mortgage Loan Processor

Position description: The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for obtaining the necessary information to process and complete mortgage loan files. The role verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness while ensuring that the documents are prepared and finalized in compliance with policies and procedures. Specific duties include: • Processes and prepares closing packages for mortgage loans. • Schedules closings and provides the closing attorney with a finalized closing packet within a timely manner. • Responsible for the disbursement of mortgage loans utilizing current mortgage loan software. • Prepares loan filings for underwriting. • Sends disclosures and tracks third party services. • Requests and tracks receipt of loan conditions. • Tracks pipeline to efficiently manage rate lock expiration date, appraisal turn time, finance contingency dates and projected closing dates. • Communicates effectively with the member and mortgage personnel throughout the mortgage process within a timely and accurate fashion. • Provides back up the Mortgage Loan Phone Group by answering incoming mortgage calls, responding to inquiries and scheduling appointments for lenders. • Communicates effectively with the member throughout the mortgage loan process. Hours: 40 hours a week with a rotating schedule between the hours of 8:15 AM-6:15 PM Monday through Friday and includes a rotating Saturday (9am-1pm) at least one per month. Saturdays are worked at our Harvest Lane (Williston) or St. Albans branches.

Member Service Representative III

Position description: Provides efficient, accurate, and polite service to members and follows policies and procedures while speaking with members about their financial needs. Uncovers member financial goals through discovery conversations, while demonstrating empathy for members’ needs and referring members to specialist when member need is discovered that requires specialized assistance. Shows an understanding of how the Credit Union operates and makes decisions with the Credit Union’s best interests in mind. Seeks out opportunities to increase knowledge and skills and is open to accepting assignments that broaden capabilities. Acts as a resource for tellers and other MSRs in handling more complex member issues and lending duties. Specific duties include: • Work with members to uncover their needs and financial goals by having effective discovery conversations. Track member engagements and conversations by using the Member Engagement Tracking Tool correctly and consistently. Build lasting relationships with members by gaining their trust through meeting our commitments, showing empathy, and building rapport. • Continue to assist members with increasingly complex and difficult account issues with little to no assistance from senior staff, with a focus on Digital Products. Understand and able to work with Advanced Entity accounts, IRAs, CDs, Visa, Personal and Auto Loans. • Provide member with navigational assistance for online banking and mobile app, assist with seminar registration, updating account security as needed. • Act as a resource and explain the process of all loan applications. Assist manager and senior branch staff with end of day procedures. • Understand features of all products and services that the credit union offers and frame how these may benefit members. Orientation Period for New NEFCU Employees

NEFCU has an orientation period for all new employees joining the company. New employees are subject to a standard 90-day orientation period. The orientation period is a period of time devoted to the evaluation of the employee in the new position. It is also a time for the employee to assess her or his aptitude and interest in the job.

NEFCU Business Casual Dress Code

We expect our employees to dress appropriately in business casual attire. Our goal is to provide a workplace that is professional, contemporary, and inclusive for all. Employees are expected to demonstrate good judgment and taste when selecting clothes to wear to work. All employees are expected to dress like they are going to interact with members, regardless of job title, function or office location. As a rule, clothing intended for the beach, yard work, dance clubs, exercising or sports activities are not appropriate for the workplace. If any of NEFCU’s dress code policies cause concerns based upon religion, disability or any other legally protected class, please contact a member of the Human Resources team to discuss and request an appropriate accommodation. Employees in violation of our dress code will be addressed individually and may be sent home to change, in which case time away from work will not be paid. Repeatedly disregarding the dress code will result in documented disciplinary actions.

Head to Toe – Contemporary, Business Casual Dress Code Guidelines

Hats are prohibited while at work. Headbands should be conservative in size and color.

Hair should be clean and styled. Hair coloring and highlights should be limited to colors naturally occurring such as brown, black, blonde, or red. Colors not naturally occurring, such as green, blue or pink, are not acceptable.

Visibility of body art, including tattoos and piercings, should be limited in nature. Excessive tattoos should be covered and facial and dermal piercings need to be removed while at work.

Shoes are expected to be clean and professional. Flip flops, sneakers, winter boots or rain boots are prohibited.

Leggings are only permitted when worn with a long, tunic style top or dress. Jeans are only permitted on special occasions during NEFCU sponsored “denim days”. Shorts are not permitted.

Clothing should be neat, clean, pressed and in good condition. Tight clothing or clothing that is too revealing is prohibited. Clothing should be free of words, terms, or graphics. Mainstream brand logos are generally acceptable.

Sweatshirts, sweatpants, wind or exercise pants are not appropriate. Cargo pants (pants with pockets on the sides of legs or pants which can be zipped off to become shorts) are not acceptable. T-shirts, tank tops, halter tops, midriff tops, or spaghetti straps should not be worn.

Dress and skirt length should be no more than two inches above the knee when standing.

Any NEFCU logo wear is generally accepted.
