Position description: The Business Training Specialist serves as the subject matter expert in all facets of instructional design and adult learning methodologies as it relates to New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) operations in the retail, lending and servicing departments. This role will collaborate with internal business partners to analyze training needs, design and develop content, define measurement strategies to assess the effectiveness of the program and implement core curriculum and programs across NEFCU operational areas. The incumbent will work with management to establish training priorities, budgets and procedures designed to meet annual department training goals and projects. The incumbent is not the trainer but may conduct some training programs when appropriate. The Business Training Specialist will work with vendors to continuously research innovative ways to enrich employees’ knowledge and professional development and effectively implement programs across the company. >>Specific duties include: • Work with business managers in retail, lending and servicing departments to conduct needs analysis, develop learning objectives and provide consultation services to them to define competency requirements for necessary curriculum for the employee(s) and the department(s) on business specific initiatives, regulations, systems, and projects. • Recommend and design programs and courses which will meet the learning objectives for staff by delivering core curriculum during onboarding, obtaining proficiency and exploring future growth opportunities. Determine the applicable delivery format; including but not limited to classroom, non-classroom, self-module or innovative learning modalities, which will provide the most effective learning experience. • Manage and monitor training program effectiveness, delivery satisfaction and the transfer of skills/knowledge back into the workplace regarding company curriculum. Coach and drive learning adoption through key development programs. • Work with managers and senior managers to identify internal training resources and in-house experts to understand internal training bench strength. Design a database that will leverage in-house expertise on core business functions. • Effectively manage ongoing relationships with third-party vendors (including BVS) to ensure they are meeting our service level. Research new vendors and network with industry peers for best-in-class learning and development training programs and curriculum. Assist in the renewal process and vendor negotiations regarding retail, lending and servicing curriculum. Serve as BVS software administrator. • Other duties as assigned. May be responsible to support additional initiatives, as needed, within the HR/OD Department.>>Qualifications: • Must have a minimum of 8+ years of progressive responsibility within designing, implementing and administering core curriculum training. Quality Control Specialist

NEFCU Business Casual Dress Code

We expect our employees to dress appropriately in business casual attire. Our goal is to provide a workplace that is professional, contemporary, and inclusive for all. Employees are expected to demonstrate good judgment and taste when selecting clothes to wear to work. All employees are expected to dress like they are going to interact with members, regardless of job title, function or office location. As a rule, clothing intended for the beach, yard work, dance clubs, exercising or sports activities are not appropriate for the workplace. If any of NEFCU’s dress code policies cause concerns based upon religion, disability or any other legally protected class, please contact a member of the Human Resources team to discuss and request an appropriate accommodation. Hats are prohibited while at work. Headbands should be conservative in size and color.

Hair should be clean and styled. Hair coloring and highlights should be limited to colors naturally occurring such as brown, black, blonde, or red. Colors not naturally occurring, such as green, blue or pink, are not acceptable.

Visibility of body art, including tattoos and piercings, should be limited in nature. Excessive tattoos should be covered and facial and dermal piercings need to be removed while at work.

Shoes are expected to be clean and professional. Flip flops, sneakers, winter boots or rain boots are prohibited.

Leggings are only permitted when worn with a long, tunic style top or dress. Jeans are only permitted on special occasions during NEFCU sponsored “denim days”. Shorts are not permitted.

Clothing should be neat, clean, pressed and in good condition. Tight clothing or clothing that is too revealing is prohibited. Clothing should be free of words, terms, or graphics. Mainstream brand logos are generally acceptable.

Sweatshirts, sweatpants, wind or exercise pants are not appropriate. Cargo pants (pants with pockets on the sides of legs or pants which can be zipped off to become shorts) are not acceptable. T-shirts, tank tops, halter tops, midriff tops, or spaghetti straps should not be worn.

Dress and skirt length should be no more than two inches above the knee when standing.

Any NEFCU logo wear is generally accepted.
