Head Teller

Consumer Loan Processor

Position Description: The Consumer Loan Processor supports the consumer loan originator function and will be responsible for consumer loan applications to ensure timely processing and closing of loans. This support includes processing, preparing, closing, funding of consumer loans for the branch and performing post-closing quality control review of closed consumer loan files. Specific Duties Include: • Responsible for timely and accurate processing, closing and disbursing of consumer loans utilizing current consumer loan software, Credit Union loan policies and procedures. • Ensures all consumer loan files are originated, processed and closed in conformance with established business process by utilizing a formal post-closing review process. • Acts as a resource to branch staff on all processing and closing procedures. • Trains branch staff on pertinent aspects of the closing and funding procedures. • Participates in NEFCU’s - Member Relationship Development, a program that assists in detecting member’s unidentified financial needs. • Supports Credit Administration with timely review of residential property appraisals as necessary and back-up post-closing review of consumer real estate loans. • May originate overflow consumer loan applications or may obtain lending authority on a graduated basis. Orientation Period for New NEFCU Employees

NEFCU has an orientation period for all new employees joining the company. New employees are subject to a standard 90-day orientation period. The orientation period is a period of time devoted to the evaluation of the employee in the new position. It is also a time for the employee to assess her or his aptitude and interest in the job.

NEFCU Business Casual Dress Code

We expect our employees to dress appropriately in business casual attire. Our goal is to provide a workplace that is professional, contemporary, and inclusive for all. Employees are expected to demonstrate good judgment and taste when selecting clothes to wear to work. All employees are expected to dress like they are going to interact with members, regardless of job title, function or office location. As a rule, clothing intended for the beach, yard work, dance clubs, exercising or sports activities are not appropriate for the workplace. If any of NEFCU’s dress code policies cause concerns based upon religion, disability or any other legally protected class, please contact a member of the Human Resources team to discuss and request an appropriate accommodation. Employees in violation of our dress code will be addressed individually and may be sent home to change, in which case time away from work will not be paid. Repeatedly disregarding the dress code will result in documented disciplinary actions.

Head to Toe – Contemporary, Business Casual Dress Code Guidelines

Hats are prohibited while at work. Headbands should be conservative in size and color.

Hair should be clean and styled. Hair coloring and highlights should be limited to colors naturally occurring such as brown, black, blonde, or red. Colors not naturally occurring, such as green, blue or pink, are not acceptable.

Visibility of body art, including tattoos and piercings, should be limited in nature. Excessive tattoos should be covered and facial and dermal piercings need to be removed while at work.

Shoes are expected to be clean and professional. Flip flops, sneakers, winter boots or rain boots are prohibited.

Leggings are only permitted when worn with a long, tunic style top or dress. Jeans are only permitted on special occasions during NEFCU sponsored “denim days”. Shorts are not permitted.

Clothing should be neat, clean, pressed and in good condition. Tight clothing or clothing that is too revealing is prohibited. Clothing should be free of words, terms, or graphics. Mainstream brand logos are generally acceptable.

Sweatshirts, sweatpants, wind or exercise pants are not appropriate. Cargo pants (pants with pockets on the sides of legs or pants which can be zipped off to become shorts) are not acceptable. T-shirts, tank tops, halter tops, midriff tops, or spaghetti straps should not be worn.

Dress and skirt length should be no more than two inches above the knee when standing.

Any NEFCU logo wear is generally accepted.
