In recognition of the importance of the nursing profession to our members and our community, NEFCU is proud to support and assist individuals who wish to pursue a nursing career through financial scholarships for appropriate training at accredited institutions. NEFCU awards three $3,000 scholarships yearly to NEFCU members applying to or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program.

Victoria Pawulak of Jericho, is currently a Medical Assistant at the University of Vermont Medical Center and will be attending Vermont Technical College this Fall.
Susan Toolin of Underhill is currently attending St. Joseph’s College of Maine. Susan is a Staff Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center pursuing her Master of Science degree in Nursing.
Jessica Cota of Essex is obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Norwich University while working in the Cardiology Unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Inspired by the National Science Foundation, NEFCU is helping to increase the number of individuals who choose careers in the hard sciences by providing annual scholarships to applicants who best demonstrate their commitment to science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Miranda Orcutt of Swanton is currently attending the University of Vermont. She will be pursuing a degree in Neuroscience.
Brielle McDonald of Milton is a recent graduate of Milton High School. Brielle will be attending Trinity College in the Fall studying Neuroscience.
Vivian Huang of South Burlington is a recent graduate of South Burlington High School. Vivian will be attending MIT in the Fall as she works towards Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degrees.
