About Mobile Check Deposit
Steps to Deposit a Check
- Log in to the NEFCU Mobile App.
- Choose "Check Deposit" from the navigation menu.
- Select the account to receive the deposit. Make sure the name of the Payee on the check is on this account.
- Enter the amount of the check.
- Snap a picture of the front and back of the check, making sure the check is endorsed. Be sure to write
“For Mobile Deposit at NEFCU” below the signature.
- Tap “Deposit” and get a confirmation.
- Securely store the original check for 45 days. You can then mark it “VOID” and destroy.
- Click on “History” to view the status of all your submitted deposits. If an item is rejected for any reason, you’ll also be able to see the reason within deposit history.
Limits
Personal accounts for members 17 years of age or under:
- $250 per deposit
- $250 per day
- $750 rolling 30-day limit
Personal accounts for members over the age of 18:
- $7,500 per deposit
- $7,500 per day
- $20,000 rolling 30-day limit
Business accounts:
- $10,000 per deposit
- $10,000 per day
- $30,000 rolling 30-day limit
Deposit Credit Schedule
Funds will be available as described in our Funds Availability Disclosure.Mobile Deposits confirmed as received on a business day will be credited to your account no later than end of day the next business day. Our business days are Monday through Friday, except holidays.
