The Consumer Loan Processor supports the consumer loan originator function and will be responsible for consumer loan applications to ensure timely processing and closing of loans. This support includes processing, preparing, closing, and funding of consumer loans for the branch. Perform post-closing quality control review of closed consumer loan files.

The Mortgage Loan Assistant provides direct mortgage services and supports the Mortgage Loan Originators by providing administrative service throughout the mortgage loan process. This position will be responsible for taking and answering all incoming calls for the team and providing support to our membership within NEFCU retail service hours. The hours of work for this position are subject to service delivery requirements within this timeframe and may also include overtime.

The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for obtaining the necessary information to process and complete mortgage loan files. The role verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness while ensuring that the documents are prepared and finalized in compliance with policies and procedures.
NEFCU has an orientation period for all new employees joining the company. New employees are subject to a standard 90-day orientation period. The orientation period is a period of time devoted to the evaluation of the employee in the new position. It is also a time for the employee to assess her or his aptitude and interest in the job.
